About the Author
B.C. (Before Children)
A. Anderson was born in 1967 in New York. She was a student of philosophy from 1985 to 1990 at UVM from where she received her B.A. She studied law and data communications from 1990 to 1996 at UCLA from where she received a two certifications. She then worked at Yale University from 1997 to 2003 in information technology. While there, she earned two masters certifications from Oracle University, one in design architecture and another in web application development. She enjoyed scuba diving with her husband and earned an advanced certification.
A.C. (After Children)
In 2003 she had their first son and their second in 2004. She remained at home as a full-time mother with her children for seven years. During that time, she wrote Flourishing with Food Allergies which won NABE's Pinnacle Book Achievement Award as best in the category of Health for 2009. She has worked to raise awareness of food allergies and to support parents of children with food allergies by giving presentations, writing articles and donating copies of her book to support groups.
